About Cobros Fácil

Mobile POS app where users can receive payments and manage; Inventory, workforce, and finances, all in one app.

The research

 

The cost of a regular POS device from traditional companies in Bolivia is around $500 USD, that is the dealbreaker for small businesses and entrepreneurs.  The business model from Cobros Facil is pay-as-you-go.

The problem

​

Many entrepreneurs and small businesses are interested in receiving credit card payments but having to pay for hardware is the main deal breaker.

Users can download the app on any device

All activities are registered within the app

Each user (could be each employee) has its own login and password for the app.

After having several conversations with each type of user, I design the UX and UI 

as user centered as I could

After analyzing all the conversations I had with the different types of users.

I knew I had to give both charging options.

Keypad: for users who don’t have a physical inventory, don’t want to add inventory to the system, don’t have time to add inventory, the change by different units (mts, lbs etc) or don’t have inventory, their business is based on intangible things.

Products: having your inventory in the system is the recommended way to use it. This makes it easier for the user at the end. All sales will synchronize with inventory and at the en of the day, the user will have an exact picture of how it’s going on.

 

Numbers needed to be big, such as the “charge” bottom.

There are only 4 actions in the screen, KEYPAD, PRODUCTS, CHARGE and MENU.

This will make things easy for any user and any business.

UI improvements 

The first thing you need, the first thing you see

By integrating all actions in the main and first screen the user sees, I reduced the margin of user error.

 

The “charge” Botton is big enough to understand that you need to press if you need to charge the amount shown. 

 

The user can add a description for the amount that the user is charging. This will keep record and also, if wanted, can be added as a product for future sales.

 

The digits were designed to apear like a calculator. 

 

The user can Add the amount and this will be sent directly to the cart above in the right showing the amount of items that transaction has.

Search the product you wish to sale

Having all your inventory ready to manage and be sold is something that users were very exited about.

 

Easy search bar, users can search by name or SKU number.

 

Basic description of each product and their prices.

 

Users can add to cart by clicking the product.

Adding a product to inventory,

it’s just a click away

Adding a new product couldn’t be easier. Users only needs to take a picture and include the product details.

 

Organize your new product by a category.

 

Users can choose a unit or create one (lbs, mts, hours etc)

 

Users can create a tax % or quantity, so taxes will be included in all sales.
