The research
When doing the benchmark we saw that there are a few job seeking platforms in the market, but when talking to users from those platforms we so many pain points we can fix.

Companies that posted jobs on other platforms had the problem that they were getting really random applicants.
And from the job seeker side, users were confused and did not seem enthusiastic about uploading their CV in the platform

One of the most common user pains, was the fact that job seekers apply to jobs that without meeting the requirements.
After analyzing, not only the pilot version of Laburo, but also their two competitors, I saw that the problem was in the UI but also in the their main page.
Job seekers were giving all job choices and all company profiles. This leads job seekers to apply for jobs that they wish and think they could work for. It’s like a menu, they choose what ever they want.
How I fixed this issue, was by doing two things:
1) making the job seeker tell the platform “what is their role or profession” and the location of where they want the job.
2) making it longer to apply by not simply post their CV, but they need to create a basic profile. This will also help recruiters to see what's in the market.
This will filter candidates and make them really spend their time and energy to a job.

With this new flow, we were able to solve all common user pains.
There are more steps to apply for a job. On other platforms in the market, applying for a job was as simple as pressing SEND CV. This made it difficult for employees to filter not qualified applicants and also was really time consuming, they had to read all applicant’s CVs.
With the new flow, we give hints to every step, not only on how to use them, but what the applicant wan to hear, after all, what employees want is the best applicants available. And the best applicants available are only attracted to companies that encourage them to work with them.

The UI was changed to more tech trying to attract young professionals, this will make them trust the platform and also want to be part of Laburo.
If you compare the other job platforms in the market, with Laburo, you can see that there is nothing to look for at first sight. job seekers need to put information in order for us to show them what jobs are available.
By doing this, we eliminate applicants that were clicking and applying to what they think they could do.
PREMIUM or BASIC
By choosing the PREMIUM ad option, employees can get twice as much applicants.

Garanteed hire is the service that LABURO offers for employers.
This is part of three packs that are available

Applicants will need to take their time to apply for a job. The same time employers take when they read their CVs.
This will eliminate candidates that are not willing to take their time to apply for a “worthy job”.

I had to read a lot, creating the storytelling was a big responsibility. It is all about product knowledge and understanding the prospect buyer.
